Margetis Maritime was successfully involved in another salvage case of a Bulk Carrier vessel of 38,530GT.
The subject vessel encountered heavy weather off the Island of Taiwan whilst loaded with iron ore and sustained multiple damages in way of her hull.
Vertical cracks at the vessel’s hull resulted in her Cargo hold No. 1 as well as adjacent ballast water tanks flooding with seawater.
LOF was signed between Owners and Salvors and our surveyor attended onboard following the instructions of Salvors, to carry out naval architectural analysis, including damage stability calculations and strength scenarios.
Eventually, the Vessel underwent temporary repairs whilst anchored at Taiwan Anchorage. At the end of which she sailed for her port of discharge.
