List of IMO certificates and documents required to be carried on board ships (2022)

New version of IMO “List of Certificates and Documents required to be carried out onboard ships”, 2022 edition (issued on 27 June 2022).
All ships are required to carry certificates that establish their seaworthiness, type of ship, competency of seafarers and so on.
These certificates are provided by the flag State of the ships and are inspected by Port State Control Officers.
A comprehensive list of those IMO Certificates and documents required to be carried on board ships is available in the new version of IMO “List of Certificates and Documents required to be carried out onboard ships”, 2022 edition (issued on 27 June 2022).
The new FAL.2/Circ. 133, MEPC.1/Circ. 902, MSC.1/Circ.1646, LEG.2/Circ.4 of 27 June 2022 which can be found in the below link
, supersedes previous edition of 2017.We have compared the previous Circular with latter one where the amendments & new entries have been highlighted in yellow color, for your convenience.
