Air Emissions Requirements in the Shipping Industry – Fundamentals
This course will cover the fundamentals of the air emission regulations which are applicable in the shipping industry. The material will focus on the IMO GHG strategy, the MARPOL Annex VI and the relevant IMO resolutions, including the EEDI, EEXI, as well the SEEMP and CII and possible actions for compliance with the CII. Reference shall be made to the sets of the EU Fit for 55 package which concern the shipping industry, as well as to the various national air emission regulations.
